So far it's "Perfect Situation" and "We Are All On Drugs" for me- just cuz they are a bit "pop" and i was in that mood. btw- i DON'T like "Beverly Hills" and i can't figure out why- since i LOVE Weezer...anyone else feel that way?

Sat, April 30, 2005 - 10:59 PMI can't stand Beverly Hills. It totally rubs me the wrong way. But so far the stand out tracks would be "We Are All On Drugs" and "This Is Such A Pity"

Re: Favorite Tracks on Make Believe?
Sun, May 8, 2005 - 1:36 PMHey what's up, new to the tribe.
How did you guys get your hands on the CD? I thought it didn't come out until the 10th?
I've only heard the track Beverly Hills, and I was thoroughly disappointed. I'm a diehard Blue Album and Pinkerton fan. I felt the Green Album was just an attempt to be liked by the masses, considering Rivers just got over his depression. I feel the band truly tried to be musically creative in Maladroit, but it just wasn't Weezer.
I was truly hoping that Rivers would pour out some emotion into the new album and take it back to the roots of Pinkerton. Weezer is trying to come out with another Blue Album, but it just isn't possible. The Blue Album is a classic that just can't be remade.
After hearing Beverly Hills, it painfully reminded me of "hash pipe" with the two chord riff that continued to repeat itself in verse and chorus. The topic of the song seemed to remind me something that Good Charlotte would sing about. Sorry if there are any Good Charlotte fans out there, but this is not something to brag about.
I'm not sure if I'm going to run out and buy this album right away. I probably will, just because I want to support my favorite band of all time. Hopefully I'll get some good listening pleasure out of it as well.
